Serving the Lord with All Your Heart

I've come across something, and that taught me. It's about serving the Lord.

Why should we serve the Lord?

My question back to you is, Why did God give us spiritual gifts? If you know the answer for my question, you'd definitely get the answer for the question above.

Serving the Lord does not only mean by serving in the church. You can serve Him anywhere, anytime and anyhow. There's no limit. You can serve Him through telling His goodness around the world. You can serve Him by obeying His words. You can serve Him in anyway.

But what I really learned was, we should just serve, with no complains, or expectations. God knows the time BEST. He knows our capability.

As I was younger, I've always wanted to join the worship team. "To serve Him"- my mind says. "To Get famous"- my HEART says. What I'm trying to emphasize here is that, we should serve Him and all the glory and honour to HIM alone. But for now, as I grow, I learn things, I understand things, my heart now yearns for Him. So it doesn't matter for what instrument I play for the Lord. I may play the keyboard, and it may play the smallest part of the whole congregation. But I don't care about it, I'm still serving. As long as I have the HEART to do so, that's everything.

Thus, don't complain in which department you're serving for, 'cause in the end, it's the heart that counts, and it's not for you, it's for Him. You're not to be praised for, for serving Him.
